Topic/Skill: Subjunctive 

Teacher Presentation: None. The class was a continuation of the previous day.

Classroom Management: The teacher would have to call attention if the class got off topic with discussion.

Materials: computer, projector

Student Participation: The activity was to read an article about a controversial topic and use the subjunctive to make recommendations on the debate. Each student contributed their own thoughts and opinions using the subjunctive.

Feedback Provided: The teacher facilitated actual discussion on the topics and corrected any mistakes by repeating back the phrase for the student to hear.

Lesson(s) on teaching you learned: It is important to incorporate activities that can foster actual discussion with original thought. I realize that highly structured activities would be very boring.
